What follows is an interactive visualization of the play of color in films. Each spectrum is unique and shows a detailed overview of the color palettes used throughout a movie. A database holds information on the prominent colors in screencaps. These stills have been carefully selected, have good lighting and composition and are representive of the color palettes used in the films. Each screencap is processed in sequence and individual spectrums for each movie are generated by placing prominent colors side by side and then moving on to the next frame. Clicking on one of the vertical color stripes will lead to a page for the color where one may explore stills from that scene and also the use of that color in other movies.
